About StarForge
Founded in 2025 and operating in Toronto and Leuven, Star Forge develops software and provides engineering services for star trackers, space-based optical navigation, and GNC, with a focus on demanding missions including rendezvous and proximity operations, space debris monitoring, de-orbiting, and asteroid missions. With strong roots in both academia and industry, Star Forge is committed to building meaningful partnerships and developing the next generation of space engineers through hands-on research opportunities and mentorship. As a small, specialized company, we believe teams should be recognized for their expertise, the quality of their work, and what they can deliver, rather than simply by their size.
Interview hosted by The SmallSat Revolution, Powered by GomSpace, where Frank speaks with Dr. Laila Kazemi, technical chair and founder of Star Forge. She shares her journey from star tracker expert to entrepreneur, exploring optical navigation, dual-use technologies, and her commitment for mentoring future space engineers.
